Amelia Brooke Harris died at her home om Rhondda, South Wales on June 8. Her mother Carly Ann Harris has since appeared in court charged with her murder.
Her mother Carly Ann Harris, 37, has since appeared before Merthyr Magistrates’ Court and Cardiff Crown Court charged with murder.
Coroner’s officer Robert Lewis said police entered the back garden of the home to find a child’s body on the coffee table.
He said: “At 10.15pm on that date, a male was heard shouting in the road that someone was dead.
“On police arrival there were a number of emergency service vehicles present.
No family members were present during the short hearing which was adjourned until November 13.
They previously said the young girl was a “loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece and cousin”.
They added: “Amelia was beautiful both inside and out – and was a fun-loving, caring and bubbly little girl.”
“She was taken far too early from us and had her whole life ahead of her.
