If you’re living in the UAE or have flown out of Dubai International Airport (DXB) before, you know just how special Emirates is … and Indians top the list.
Dubai’s flagship carrier just embraced “one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism” just ahead of Diwali.
The airlines rolled out a food truck serving traditional Indian sweets in several select destinations in the city in celebration of the festival of lights, including City Walk and Bollywood Parks Dubai.
“This year, we are celebrating the Indian festival of lights like never before. Emirates wishes you a vibrant, joyful and prosperous Diwali,” the carrier said.
The carrier is also offering passengers traditional Indian sweets on all flights from Nov. 4 to Nov. 10 en-route from Dubai to India.
But, that’s not all.
A group of dancers entertained guests with a performance on the streets all while donning traditional attire. Crew members did not shy away from joining in on the fun … in their uniforms.
In a video posted to YouTube, Emirates staff members can be seen dancing to traditional Indian music.
Emirates operates 170 flights a week from Dubai to nine destinations in India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
