In a tragic incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly strangled to death by a co-passenger in Bihar after she asked him not to smoke in the train they were travelling in.

According to a tweet by ANI, the woman was choked to death when she objected the man smoking onboard a train. Reports inform that the brutal incident took place on Friday.

According to reports, the pregnant woman was travelling to Bihar in Jallianwala Bagh Express. A K Pandey, Officer Incharge, GRP Shahjahanpur said the accused has been arrested.

On Friday, five people were killed when the earth caved in Bihar’s Samastipur district while they were digging it to make earthen ovens for the ‘Chhath’ festival.

The incident was reported from Nazirpur village, which is nearly 80 km east of Patna. As per details by locals, eleven people were digging the soil to make earthen ovens for preparing ‘prasad’ during the four-day ‘Chhath’ festival when the incident took place.

Earlier this month, a teenage girl was allegedly gang-raped at a police station in Bihar. Soon after the incident was reported, authorities had suspended six policemen in connection with the incident.
