A woman from Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, has spoken out on Twitter about enduring four years of domestic violence. The woman, who uses the name QueenNomazulu and the handle @AmandaCwazibe, shared photos of her scars and injuries, Briefly.co.za gathered.
She accompanied them with the caption:
My silence has been long and dark. Subjected to domestic violence for 4 years. Silence is for cowards.

The scars were on her face, hands and legs. Her right eye also appeared reddish. Nomazulu’s revelation went viral, eliciting over 2,300 retweets and 2,500 likes.
